A Bibliometric Review on Latent Topics and Trends of Language Learning Strategy (1990-2022)

Despite the fact that language learning strategy (LLS) has been playing an important role in and teaching over past few decades, scant research systematically tracked synthesized development of LLS. This study, therefore, aims to conduct a comprehensive review LLS within time span 1990 2022. A total 927 articles related were analyzed via bibliometric analysis structural topic modeling. Performance science mapping, which included annual production, most influential journals, countries, institutions, authors their collaborative networks, figured out by analysis. 24 topics identified modeling, showed six skill-based strategies, three concerned with subjects LLS, about multilingualism issues rest different types factors influence effect. study provides panoramic applied linguistics, pointing potential future directions this field.
